About Island Rab

Enjoy the sandy beaches of this island of happiness

The folk proverb claims that God created the island of Rab for himself only, but that the devil sent humans to it. Rab is known as the greenest island on the Adriatic coast and all the way back from the Roman time as “the island of happiness”. If possible, you should definitely take a glimpse of Rabska fjera (medieval summer fair of crafts and customs and crossbow tournament) – one of the most attractive events on the island of Rab.

On the island of Rab is Lopar, the small town famous for its numerous sandy beaches and beautiful bays. Interesting fact about Lopar is that St Marin, the alleged founder of the San Marino state, was born there.
